GARY & LINDA UPTON, VERGERS McMILLAN ORCHARDS
Franklin, Montérégie, QC.
Linda and Gary Upton run the beautiful orchard and maple farm just outside Montreal. Linda’s family has been producing apples and maple syrup on this farm for over a century. Today, the farm produces over 36 varieties of apples, including some rare, heritage varieties.
Sylvia Meriles - Les jardins épicés
L'ile- Bizard, QC
Sylvia Meriles, a trained agronomist from Bolivia, now calls Québec home. She started her farm, Les jardins épicés, and a non-profit organization, Ferme bord-du-lac, a social enterprise and incubator for innovated farming practices
Les jardins épicés is dedicated to the development and production of exotic vegetables and herbs originating from Latin America.
Nick Kuepfer - Ferme Red Orach
The original owners of a 6.5 acre plot of land an hour west of Montreal wanted to continue to have their soil worked. Nick Kuepfer was happy to respond to the call and Farm Red Orach was created.
The farm offers a wide variety of unique products including: Nasturtium, Pattypan Squash, Orange Watermelon, Striped Cavern Tomatoes, Green Zebra Tomatoes, Flame Hybrid Thai Chili, Sorrento Zucchini, Doukabhor Kale, Striped Toga Eggplant and more.
Lisa Hill - Pheasant Hill Farm
Owen Sound, ON
Pheasant Hill Farm is a small family farm selling GMO free meat products whole or one package at a time. Their meat products have all been raised on their farm including: pheasant, guinea fowl, duck, partridge, pastured Berkshire pork, fresh rainbow eggs, heritage chicken and feathers.
Their Berkshire and heritage pigs are raised outside on pastured land and they have 3 large flight pens located in the middle of their farm to keep pheasant, partridge and guinea fowl.
